Happy Birthday Jose Mourinho !

I hated Jose when he was at United. Despite him winning three cups for us and that is the last trophies we have had in the past 5 years. I wished he was never at united! I got triggered when he said, “The highest achievement that he has ever done is to get second place with Man United”. A manager who won the treble twice with Porto and Inter Milan claimed that the highest achievement he has ever had is to get second place with us. He has got some nerve, I thought.

As the proverb goes “You won't know the value of the product until it leaves you”. Once he left, everything got exposed. Yes, loved every bit of what Ole was then doing but the amount of mess that Jose left with us has irked me. Slowly the players started to throw Ole under the bus too! This is the moment, this very moment I fell in love with Jose!

The accolades that he has got in his past are insane. He won the treble with Porto out of nowhere! Did a surprising turnover at inter Milan. Winning Pep’s Barca at his home ground and doing the iconic celebration with all of his players at camp nou! If thug life is an art, Mourinho would be the Picasso of it. After Inter Milan, the biggest club in the world offered the role to him and asked him to build a squad. Everyone thought he is gonna fail miserably, with the then-young team consisting of Ronaldo, Ozil, Benzema, Ramos, Pepe, and Casilla. No one thought Mourinho could create such monstrous players.

The different styles of plays that he has equipped to adapt himself to each team he has managed in insane. With inter they are so good at defensive transition” The second “they lose the ball they win it back in a minute”. With Real Madrid, the offensive transition. “The second they won the ball where it was on the pitch you could see 5-7 players running towards the goal with full speed screaming their lungs off for the pass”. With United, he had a team of literally championship players, the likes of jones, smalling, young, and valencia in their 30s, and being the heart of the defense, he came out on top by winning 3 cups with these 4 at the defense.

Premiere league was known for playing with 4-4-2, he came and introduced 4-3-3 and won the league in his very first season with Chelsea. Which resulted in the 19 other teams having to adapt to 4-3-3. If this is not conquering the league, making every single team fear you, Those press meet he used to give is nothing but dramatic laughter. He is the manager with more glories in his CV and the main aspect of that is he has won at least one trophy where he managed for a full season. Tottenham would have ended their trophy drought after Mourinho got them to the EFL cup finals. But Spurs being Spurs decided to sack them before finals!

Jose Mourinho, Undisputed and one of the greatest. It's sad that he has to manage some mid-table club nowadays after failing to adapt to modern-day football. Yet, he has won a trophy with AS Roma in Italy. A very Happy Birthday to you my King!
