Manchester United's GK Situation

Manchester United have had one of the world's best GK in their squad. Kasper Schmeichel, Van der Saar followed by David de Gea in the past decade. Now, their academy goalkeeper Dean Henderson is knocking on the door for the number 1 spot in the first team. Apart from these iconic goalkeepers, manchester united produced more talented keepers like Tom Heaton and Sam Johnstone who are regular starters in their respective clubs.

We can all agree that since Ferguson left, David de Gea is the man who carried the team for several seasons. though recent performance from him may have had a stinker one can never deny the fact that, he was the world's best because he won the golden glove with Phil ones and Chris smalling to protect him. David de Gea became a legend in this club after his iconic spell under Mourinho. though there was speculation of DDG joining other clubs, he chose to stay in Carrington itself. after a series of howlers, DDG's number 1 spot in the team became questionable by most of the fan base and might be in consideration for the coach Ole too. David de Gea is being shown as the example for the proverb "Either you die as a hero or live long enough to see yourself as a villain".

Dean Henderson, after a terrific loan spell with Sheffield United and helping them to promotion into the premier league. he spent one more year in the same club and seen them performing on a top level. the impact of Henderson can be seen clearly once he left the club ( this season ). Although, many fans considering that he is young to start for manchester united and he should be sent out on loan while we keep David de Gea for one more season.

Manchester United have still Romero and lee grant as their 3rd and 4th choice keeper and signed Tom Heaton from Aston villa too. Currently, Manchester united's goalkeeper base is filled with quality which raises the question of who is going to get more time? who is going to be the 1st choice and 2nd choice for Ole?. While there are rumours speculating about a straight swap deal for Jan Oblak for David de Gea!!

David Strenght: Being in the right place at the right time and he does not have to make a stretched save.
David Weakness: Vocally weak, communication and poor penalty saving technique
Henderson Strength: Vocally strong, communicate well with CB's, great penalty saver, and his distributions are remarkable.
Henderson Weakness: Decision making

With the current depth for the GK in the squad, it is wise not to go for a new GK rather make the best out of what they already have. The ideal situation for Manchester United and their players to be happy is to sell Romero and Lee Grant, Keep the other three keepers as first, second and third choices. David de Gea must be back to his prime for him to keep his number 1 spot while Dean Henderson proves to be an error-free keeper yet need to learn and Tom Heaton have said he is never gonna back down from fighting for the number 1 spot in the team. It surely going to be interesting how Ole is going to deal with the goalkeeper situation with the transfer window starting in a week's time.

Happy Birthday Jose Mourinho !

I hated Jose when he was at United. Despite him winning three cups for us and that is the last trophies we have had in the past 5 years. I wished he was never at united! I got triggered when he said, “The highest achievement that he has ever done is to get second place with Man United”. A manager who won the treble twice with Porto and Inter Milan claimed that the highest achievement he has ever had is to get second place with us. He has got some nerve, I thought.  As the proverb goes “You won't know the value of the product until it leaves you”. Once he left, everything got exposed. Yes, loved every bit of what Ole was then doing but the amount of mess that Jose left with us has irked me. Slowly the players started to throw Ole under the bus too! This is the moment, this very moment I fell in love with Jose! The accolades that he has got in his past are insane. He won the treble with Porto out of nowhere! Did a surprising turnover at inter Milan. Winning Pep’s Barca at his h...

Manchester United : Erik Ten Haag

Since the sacking of ole, the Manchester United fan base was divided into two wanting either Erik Ten Haag or Mauricio Pochettino as their new manager. A few weeks later and after all the negotiations, Manchester United officially announce Erik Ten Haag as their successive manager and has signed a contract for a 4-year deal. This is the first time the club has offered more than 3 year deal to a manager post Ferguson.  Many of the online fans wanted Erik as their new manager whilst almost all the ex-united players wanting Pochettino. Even the great man himself wanted Pochettino to take the hot seat. But, it was Ralf Ragnick who persuaded the board and choose Erik. Erik has promoted Go Ahead Eagles to the premier division after 17 years in his first managerial job. From there, he went on to manage Bayern Munich II while Pep was managing the first team. Ajax appointed Erik as their manager in 2017 and he has won them 5 trophies in the span of four and half years. He is on the verge of...

Pep Guardiola: Yet another UCL loss

Pep Guardiola and UCL Defeat:  Pep's Manchester City suffered yet another UCL defeat yesterday night against Chelsea. Pep is known for his spending and not achieving the European championship. Many believed that Pep is gonna win a UCL after lastly having it with Barcelona in 2011. After leaving Barcelona he suffered 3 semi-final defeat with Bayern Munich, 3 quarter-final defeat and one final defeat with manchester city. In the span of 5 years with the city he spent over 800 million on players seeing a net spend of 750 million and yet to achieve the European glory.  The reason why he lost yesterday's night final against Chelsea is, starting sterling and leaving Fernandinho/Rodri on the bench. he anticipated that Chelsea is gonna be underdogs and play for a counter-attack styled play with their pacey attack. This style of play made him think that he would need another attacking player to support the attack and breach Chelsea's defence. What he did not expect was the DM is the...
