Why ole must be backed!

Why Ole Gunnar Solskjaer must be backed!

After suffering the loss in Gdansk, Manchester United fans came are in very serious doubt whether their current manager is the right fit for their trajectory to glory. Manchester United have gone without a trophy for four seasons in a row, which is a terrible show for a club that has more history. Their history speaks for itself. They have been the most successful club in the premier league besides Liverpool.

After the sacking of Jose Mourinho, the club has appointed Ole as their interim manager while looking for the potential prospect for the club to take them to glory. In his period as an interim manager, Ole managed to get to the semi-finals of FA Cup and quarter-finals of UEFA Champions League and failed to qualify for the ultimatum league falling 2 places short of the mark. He was appointed as full-time manager and given a contract of 3 years which sees him until the end of 2021-22 season.

On his first full season, Ole secured 3rd place obtaining 66 points, despite the injury crisis and most importantly with fewer fundings from the club. He managed to get into three semi-finals in that season and he faced defeat in all three of them. It is visible that, when the ole's plan is not going right in a match he hesitates to make a change because the bench does not have quality. The plan for the succeeding summer is to strengthen the bench. All summer, the club went behind Dortmund for Jadon Sancho which they failed to secure. They eventually signed, Donny Van De Beek to strengthen the bench, Amad Diallo and Facundo Pellistri to the academy and Edinson Cavani as a free agent. Except for Van De Beek, all the other three signings were made on the last day, which shows the club's lack of planning and negotiating in transfers to properly back the manager.

In the 2020-21 season, Ole ended up the runners for the premier league title acquiring 74 points, second-best since Fergie left the club. They have secured the final spot in the Europa League finals. They suffered defeat against Spanish Villarreal, The match was in United's hand until the players ran out of fuel in their tank. They saw their legendary keeper missing out on the penalty spot which haded Villarreal their first trophy in their history of football. The very match when ole looked at the bench he saw no quality despite having Van De Beek on the bench. But, One player cannot turn the match alone while the other 9 players cannot even run.

This proves that the clubs lack of spending in the summer eventually put the manager in a difficult position. Now is the right time for Ole to get his signings, the team needs a right-winger, a centre-back and a defensive mid. If the club manages to achieve singing class players in the required position without selling any of the first team players. Ole surely can go the extra mile and gets their hands on the trophy.

If we are to sell any of our first team players likely to be Pogba, this will leave a hole in the bench as well. Once again the bench will look weak and Ole won't have the quality to impact from the bench. Ole has gotten this club so far than the other three managers been. They might have seen some trophies here and there but there was no sign of progression in terms of the club and mentality of the players. Ole has done a great job in injecting Manchester United's mentality in and around the club and we can evidently see the progress. After all, great glories come with greater effort and even greater patience.

Happy Birthday Jose Mourinho !

I hated Jose when he was at United. Despite him winning three cups for us and that is the last trophies we have had in the past 5 years. I wished he was never at united! I got triggered when he said, “The highest achievement that he has ever done is to get second place with Man United”. A manager who won the treble twice with Porto and Inter Milan claimed that the highest achievement he has ever had is to get second place with us. He has got some nerve, I thought.  As the proverb goes “You won't know the value of the product until it leaves you”. Once he left, everything got exposed. Yes, loved every bit of what Ole was then doing but the amount of mess that Jose left with us has irked me. Slowly the players started to throw Ole under the bus too! This is the moment, this very moment I fell in love with Jose! The accolades that he has got in his past are insane. He won the treble with Porto out of nowhere! Did a surprising turnover at inter Milan. Winning Pep’s Barca at his h...
